If I stay in this window my whole PC crashes with a windows blue screen "APC_Index_Mismatch". Further more if I launch skype and open the settings menu to select the camera I can see the camera preview which then cuts to black periodically every few seconds. If I look in device manager I can see that the camera is connecting and disconnecting. For the last two months however the camera is sure to cut out. In the early days of having this problem I was able to just unplug the webcamera and plug it in again and it would normally solve the problem. At some point I started having an issue whereby the camera would cut out during skype calls (or calls in any application using the camera). I purchased the logitech C310 web camera at the beginning of the year and used it for several months without any problems.
